hazel quotes

i often stare at her as her mind is turning and processing... so much of matt in that little girl.  hazel is unique & interesting & funny.  with all of her bouncing and twirling around our house, i can almost physically feel her growing up, so i linger in these 3 year old moments.
she loves lena in such a distinct way.  i see the great love & care of the Father every time i see that God has given lena a sister hazel & hazel a sister lena.

when i tell matt something else that she has said, he will tell me to "write this stuff down!!"
so here i am trying.

in most every social situation, she stares intently at everything around her.  i have started to call it DVRing because she will later play it all back to me in great detail.  her first ballet class, a few weeks ago, she just stood there.  taking it in with such intensity that she couldn't and didn't move...which defeats the whole purpose of a ballet class. then later in the car::

there was only one teach and she was tall and she didn't wear the same ballet clothes as us.  why are there 2 big girls in there? 

(2 of the 9 little girls are quite a bit taller than the others) why do all the little girls have earrings? 

hazel, they don't all have earrings.

the tall black girl had purple earrings and the one with long straight blond hair the big skirt had pink earrings.  and that one girl never stops moving.  

(one little girl does move around non-stop)

momma, is adele real? 

yes, hazel, she isn't like a cartoon or princess, she is a real person who sings and writes songs.

does she have a real house?

yes. hazel, do you ever think oh, i've heard so much of adele, i want to hear something else now?

(looking at me like i'm an alien)

in the tub with lena, she grabs a cup & puts it on her chin (making a beard)::

i will often wrangle them all together & place them in the windowsill in order to do dishes or make lunch.  hazel started to tell secrets.

 not sure what she told anders. but i definitely heard what she said to lena...and get ready for this one, i promise i am not making this stuff up::
