anderson abel mooney

2 years ago (yesterday) i thought i wasn't in labor.  i finished folding clothes through contractions that i thought weren't close enough together or strong enough.  then we went to the hospital thinking there was a 50/50 chance we would come home & in just over an hour after that... he was here.  anderson abel mooney came like a flash & despite all the hard parts of the pregnancy (scare at 20 weeks & bedrest) & his wild arrival, he was peaceful & sweet & precious from the very start.

the last 2 years have gone by fast...don't all moms say that?  but they really have.  

anders, you are a joy!!  you are such a gift!!  i love you so much, my heart just skips even looking through all these pictures.  you have the most handsome brown eyes & now that you have hair, it is always so rockin'.  you are loving & affectionate & sweet.  you are a big fella, always off the charts when we go to the doctor.  you are also all boy, so you are rambunctious & rough.  you just seem to love life & love things well...you love playing with cars & trikes & balls, you love mickey mouse & elmo & your sisters & your friends, harper & simeon.  you love being tickled & a good meal & you love a big hug.  & lately, you love saying "no"(but we're working on that:))  happy happy birthday sweet son.  i always pray that God will grow you as He did His own son, "and Jesus grew in wisdom & stature & favor with God & man" Luke 2:52

anders is an early riser & his 2nd birthday was no different, so we started the day early with anders' gift from mom & dad.  he was so excited to wake up to a big gift in the living room.  he loved it & it was equally as fun for his dad:)

we had a little party last night for anders.  cars & trucks & airplanes & friends & family & it felt good to celebrate this awesome little life.  i'm not gonna lie, i was nervous.  i wanted lena to do well & not be too overwhelmed, but i also wanted anders to feel special & loved.  hard to balance it all & you only turn 2 once, so we just went for it & it was so fun.  lena was indeed a bit overwhelmed, but someone sat with her in her room during the more choatic times & she did fine & anders had a blast!
