yesterday morning, 2 of lena's 3 therapists along with another therapist, checked huge bags in at the airport, carried on backpacks & walkers & began travel across the world. the bags were filled with equipment & toys & supplies for special needs orphans in ukraine. they are going to an orphanage that they visited for only a short time during previous trips. they will be there a week & are hoping to build deep relationships & continue working with these kiddos who need so much more love & care than they are currently getting. follow this week with me...actually, you follow, i'll be outright stalking... their blog here. they haven't posted yet & trust me when i say internet connection in that part of the world is unreliable, but as soon as they do i will be hanging on every word as i just keep praying for them & their very important and courageous work!
i linked in the last post to lena's speech therapist's blog & now after seeing her physical therapist's blog i MUST link to it. in telling about the trip before she left, she posted a picture of the last time she was in ukraine, working with 2 year old lena! you will want to click on this to see our little sweetie as a toddler!! she's so incredible cute.
