mooney autumn 2012

the lights are hung, tree is up, and we're working on stockings & wreaths.  but before we dive headlong into a christmas (that my heart is bursting about...after missing it with hazel and anders last year & lena's first one home), i want to remember that it has been a great fall around here.

popcorn and pumpkins on the porch

anders hated/loved the nastiness inside the pumkin, he thought it was sooo fun to say
"eeeewwww!" over & over.

belle, tinkerbell, & superman...who we convinced 10 minutes before this photo to put on his pj's instead of being a towel.  that's right folks, for 2 weeks before halloween as hazel was planning what she & lena would be anders was deadset on being a towel.

no such thing as all 3 rascals looking at the camera, so i just don't even try anymore...embracing the hundreds of family photos that are like this:)

in the afternoon, we trick-or-treated around the fayetteville square (with the help of our fearless & amazing babysitter, being outnumbered in crowds like this is not a good idea for the mooneys).  hazel & anders loved it...

lena was not a huge fan of the event, but she loved listening to a band that was playing on one corner & candy wrappers apparently feel really cool on your face.
after the square we had some pizza and headed home to trick-or-treat our neighborhood.

how wonderful is this picture?  we love our neighbors and trick-or-treating with some other neighborhood kids & going door to door with tinkerbelle, superman & belle, is a great way to connect:)

hazel's class at preschool had a thanksgiving feast.

falling leaf's favorite part was, of course, dessert

the feast, such a cute class

we usually meet my folks at their cabin in north central arkansas, but a few weekends ago they couldn't make it & so it was just the 5 of us.  so much fun.  we stopped to run around at the buffalo river on the way

walking with dad

discovering a spring

lena loves riding the ranger... humming nose, shaking and bumpy...it's a sensory dream for miss lena.

we let these 2 ride in the bed of the ranger and you would've thought we were in disney world.  they LOVED it and will still tell you about it as if it is one of the greatest accomplishments of their life.

exploring the creek

every morning, when matt leaves for work, anders asks if he can go with him.  well, when for thanksgiving break matt decided it would be a good time. so he got decked and went to work with dad.

not sure who was more thrilled about "take anders to the office morning":)

a little autumn recap & now onto deck the halls.
